Even if you had the Sager equipped with a Nvidia GPU the 3D would still not work because of the switchable graphics.
Think it works on the Alienwares though since they use the mux design to switch between Nvidia / AMD and Intel.

I've only tried 3D gaming on my 360 and PS3, but it's not worth it imo. You basically halve frame rates, so you have to lower settings drastically or play in lower resolutions, all for an effect that distorts the final image. 3D isn't at the point where it's perfect yet; I'm regretting I spent the extra cash on a 3D smart tv instead of just buying a larger or more expensive model without 3D.

Gaming on consoles vs powerful pcs are completely different. I can still Max out bf3 @1080p on my desktop in 3d. Also slyrim is insane in 3d.

Nice, you should stick with your desktop then. You would have to lower settings substantially with the 7970m, so you've already got a better setup for 3D :D

    Ah, that sucks.

I didn't realize how powerful the 570s are. Lots of 3DMark 11 scores pushing 13k, stock scores are impressive too.

So I still can only get Google earth to work with the 7970m. Everything else crashes.
