Looking for an MMO that doesn't need a top of the line PC to run (mine is currently at customer support). I've been checking out EVE pretty much because I've never heard about it (not really looking into WoW or anything with that kind of theme). So, anyone play it here? Do you recommend it? The PC I'm using now is an old Gateway desktop, 2.53 ghz P4, 1 gig ram, geforce 6200, so nothing too intense would be great.

I play eve on my hp, but I have loaded it on my old dell desktop with 2.66p4, 1gb ram, and an ATI ati radeon 3100, it looked like crap on low settings, and was still not a good frame rate.

If you want, I can give you a 21-day free trial.

Yeah that would be awesome! Though I'm a little discouraged that it won't play very well on a system like mine (well, hopefully after 21 free days Dell will fix my laptop)

Hmm is Eve that space based mmo where you can fly around space but the travel times are really long? I think I may have beta'd that game a few years ago (5 yrs?) I know I betad some space mmo cant remember what it was. Would like to get back into betas but its been a few years. ( Fingers crossed on starcraft 2 beta)

Theyve introduced several different techniques to travel, some have really cut the times down. But it is still a very massive MMO. I love it, it is just so time consuming, i haven't really been able to get back into it in two years. The graphics update they released really did wonders too.

I played it about 4 years ago on a 2.5Ghz P4, 512MB, Geforce 2 Mx440 and it was pretty playable, so I think you'll be ok, just expect to turn the settings down low.

Wow so that really is the same game I beta tested like 5+ yrs ago honestly after the beta I never thought it would catch on. On the flip side a little while after that I did the planetside beta and thought wow an mmofps what a cool concept this should do well... EPIC FAIL...

Out of all the MMOs I've played (& currently play) EVE is my favorite.

Things will get really interesting in the game when Dust 514 is released.

I haven't heard about EVE but it sounds like a good MMO game. If you don't like EVE you should give Tibia a try. It's a quite good game and it's free. You have the possibility to buy premium which will give you more features.
