It's Blizzard's take on Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering, but with Warcraft atmosphere. It's in public beta right now, and in my opinion it's quite fun and a it's a good time-waster in bite-sized chunks (games typically last 10-15 minutes). High level of polish IMO, so if you're into the genre, it's worth checking out.
It's free to play, but not pay-to-win; just like in other Blizzard multiplayer, they sort you with an opponent of similar ability, so people who don't buy additional card packs aren't going to find themselves head-to-head with people who have spent hundreds of dollars on card packs. And you do unlock additional cards through normal play as well (just obviously at a slower rate than you would if you put money into it). I've never put even $1 into buying card packs and I don't feel like it's ever disadvantaged me in multiplayer, even though I have a more limited selection of cards with which to build custom decks; the people I'm playing against have similar decks.
It's available for Windows, OSX, iOS, and Android (edit: the public beta is only for Windows and OSX). The Windows version is a touch-friendly desktop program; you can use it either with a keyboard and mouse or with a touchscreen device.

Lol I think that is the exact same title as my thread.
I was playing daily but I have taken a break for a good few weeks maybe a month.
Been playing Zelda Skyward Sword or Starbound instead with my little bits of free time.
Now that I beat Zelda I should get in for a few rounds of Hearthstone, prob fell behind the curve now with how cards/ constantly shifts.Mitlov likes this. -
After a couple days, I have to say it's got the classic Blizzard downsides for me.
(1) Highly addictive gameplay, even if not always highly exciting gameplay.
(2) Feels more like math than action.
Anyone playing Hearthstone?
