I was wondering if anyone was playing Runes of Magic?
Runes of Magic is a World of Warcraft clone and free to play and download. The minute you see it you think warcraft. Anyway im just downloading now and its going through all the updates. anyone currently enjoying this game. is it worth it?
-
I had it downloaded and installed till my machine crashed. I'll probably download and install again so I can play
-
It just finished downloading and ive been playing it and its really good. Just reached level 5.
It is really optimized or the requirements for the game are really low. it plays really smooth on my old 9300m G card. I get 0 lag in the game. nice person buffed me a bit before i logged off. Its alot more polished then I thought it would be.
if anyone has some extra time they should give it a whirl. its not bad and it free. you dont have to enter any credit info or anything.
Runes of Magic here I come -
WARNING: Be sure to monitor your temps while playing it. This game overclocks your GPU, my gpu was at 97C when I played this game, all other games run at no higher than 70C, BEWARE!!
-
why would even post that are you a warcraft fan? it does not overclock your gpu. why would post something like that to scare people.

My first MMORPG
Thanks AppleUsr (+rep) -
Straining your gpu does not mean it overclocks it.... and the temps are entirely depending on your gpu and cooling system.

it is speculation at best and is being pushed by the same poster who has 4 posts. (probrobly you) i will get proof for you it doesnt when i get home. i am away for the weekend. i will use gpu-z to check clock gpu and mem speeds while the game is running
-
yeah, i heard this game overclocks your gpu to the max. i am going to stay away from this until this issue gets fixed.

If it is the thread the OP posted, them people there are merely saying it pushes the card to the limit at times causng high temps, only one person was saying it overclocked his card, and no one else was able to say the same -
how is a game able to oc your card? highly doubt it...use a driver that not OC'able. ;D
Anyone playing Runes of Magic
