Anyone still Plays Battlefield 2?

well i was at Fry's yesterday and i noticed that Battlefied 2 was only $9.99!! i use to have this game and it was extremely fun, but i lost my cd-key. what made it fun back then was the 64 player mayhem and such. i was just wondering is this game still popular? are there still those 64 player matches going on?

 

Yes There are still over 2000 active servers. I play daily and never have a problem finding the map and amount of players I want to play with.

 

yea still a great game.. play fairly often for 2 months at a time, then usually take a month or two, but i always end up coming back for more. I want to see a

BF2:2 lol.

 

this games community is one of the best out there. i believe it won't be going anywhere until a bf3 comes out ;p

I have yet to try this game...it's been sitting in it's brand new packaging in my drawer for a LONG time now lol

 

i think he means another modern battlefield. i just couldnt get into 2142 and still play bf2 often.

 

Battlefield 2 is still the 5th most popular multiplayer game out there. Though I only play Project Reality mod which also happens to be the most popular mod for the game.

 

Still a great game, and it's even more fun if you have a couple of friends to join you. You can all be in the same squad and work as a team.

I just hope that BF3 is out sometime next year, and they take a modern warfare approach like BF2. BF1942 is ok, but I love modern military shooters. Loads of fun.

There's definitely things I'd like to change, but not a whole lot.

Aside from the few glitches, the main content I would change are:

(1) Shoulder mounted AA (stinger) to help equalize the air superiority advantage in maps like Wake Island.
(2) Ability to switch kits at a supply crate, or between two players.
(3) Improved squad leader and squad member scoring. Make it worthwhile for people to squad up other than the risk of getting booted to make room for other players.
(4) Temporary invincibility at spawn (5 to 10 seconds) to help keep stat padders at bay.

 

Yes, battlefield 2 is such a great game, tbh, I bought this game this year... found it at $14 almost in february... :$

 

I remember on time I was playing this game with three friends. We were all in the same boat trying to get to the other side of a river and a chopper took us out. I never heard so much yelling coming from the same room. Good memories.

Great game, stopped playing it recently due to internet problems and increase in workload. Should install it again!

Has anyone tried Battlefield: Bad Company? Frigging awesome game, unfortunately only available on consoles. So annoyed it isn't available on the PC, makes me want to take back the Xbox elite I bought my brother for his Chrissy present!

It uses HDR sound, in short, the best sounding game I've ever played. Never felt more immersed in a battle, also features an excellent destructable environment. Bad guys pissing you off from that 3 storey building? Just knock the **** thing down! Brillant.

hahahha i just bought this game yesterday, and i must say after the first 3 hours of gameplay it is still a very fun game. one turnoff was how MUCH BETTER EVERYONE GOT geez i was getting pwned soo badly
