I know that this is a really big favor to ask but does anyone have time to help me on my new blog?? You can write reviews, previews or even the latest news in the gaming industry.
Gamers News Portal
This is my first ever blog btw![]()

._. Seems interesting... Hm...
I don't play much games to be able to help though -
You don't have to play much games to help
I will greatly appreciate even just one review for that one game that you play
-
It doesn't have to be super in-depth. Read my reviews of R.U.S.E and Blacklight:Tango Down on the blog. They're pretty simple.
-
i will try dude.
-
if you're ready, just tell me and I 'll add you in as one of the authors for my blog.
-
I'm not exactly a writer or anything but I can give you opinions on some games
You may be able to add that to some of your reviews if we play some similar games
-
-
7-10days,i m busy for a week! -
-
well since we r promoting websites please feel free to upload anime on my blog Narutoanime4u
its not finished yet though -
I'd like to keep this thread for my own blog
-
and if anyone wants to just post the latest gaming news on my blog instead of writing reviews thats fine. Just tell me and I'll add you in as one of the author.
-
Is it PC only or can you do consoles?
-
-
would you be giving us copies of the games to review? If so, I would be your review-whor3 for life!
-
but for now, no.
but I was actually considering that once my blog gets enough traffic to get decent amount of money. My blog still has a long way to go though
-
Good luck. Isn't a blog more of a personal site than a compilation of information like reviews, etc from multiple people? Seems it would be better to run an actual website instead of a blog.
Good luck. I've tried to run a few websites over the years and best I could pull was some product from vendors and maybe $50/mo in advertising. -
welll.. Im not really a html genius so I needed the layout that blogger had. If anyone knows how to do that, I would greatly appreciate if you tell me.

If you guys want some nice stuff to review head over to MegaGames freeware section http://www.megagames.com/latest-entries/freeware/all. There are some nice free games out of the UK, Germany and even Australia that are full versions. Among them you can of course find Penumbra, Cube, Death Illustrated and other good games
I'll check out your site when I'm not feeling so much like procrastinating and decide from there if I want to actually take the time to review anythingDon't hold your breath though, Ive been working on sanding the rust spots off my truk for almost a year now and so far I only have the unopened grinder with wire brush I got from harbor freight . . . . almost 6 months ago
-
take all the time you need wardozer
and thanks for the link. Oh and guys, if you want to, you guys can also review Free 2 Play games on my blog.
And you guys can also write previews of upcoming games.

I think I 'll stick with blogger for a while

-
as for reviews etc ..... well I can BADLY write some for old games and a few RTS should I ever have time ( I do have a wife and family so time is at a premium ) -

You can consider me a co-author and cross post my reviews if you like. Im trying to do more video reviews w/ commentary on youtube.
Going to do a Darksiders review here sometime soon. -
how is joomla different than blogger. does it have the layout ready for you like blogger?
and crazy, my reviews arent tht good tooand vicious. when im crossposting your reviews, u want me to put in your name or sumthing?
-
Joomla is a comprehensive content management system. I would use Joomla for more when you have a variety of content and applications running on your site. That's just me. For a game review site, I think WordPress is the better choice. It's easier for WordPress to setup to have a review, have guests do blog reviews, allow your readers to comment etc. Also some WordPress themes/frameworks are incredibly easy to use, learn and they have excellent SEO built right in. -

If you give me all the data for your domain i can make you a very nice website in Joomla with tons more features then you have now. Ill do that for free and ill pitch in on some previews and some specials.
My idea is a site with a news page in blog style where we present or previews, news, and new reviews. those reviews are added in a game database (IMDB style) that i will create and they will contain videos, fotogalery, rating ect...
I have also the abbility to enable people to comment, rate and share the previews and reviews through various accounts like facebook for example or just as a site member. The design will be nice aswell and i am very comitted to doing this -

Dude, you're going to need a better design. Plus, what's your revenue model for this site? There's tons of regular people already out there that have their own review sites...

I highly recommend working on a layout that is scalable. Trust me, once you start getting reviews and articles, it'll quickly become a mess and nobody will want to visit unless it's organized and easy to find stuff. I've worked with websites for years (ok, ten years ago or so), and even helped launch a fairly successful one, but even then the revenue was minimal, as in barely enough to pay for the server and bandwidth. The amount of work required is not worth the payout in the end unless you dedicate dozens of hours a week on it (like 40-50 minimum). And have a flawless way to update news, reviews, and articles. Not to mention offer at least one unique aspect not found on other sites.
If your intent is to have fun, then I guess it doesn't matter much, but it's still worthwhile to invest time in organizing a decent layout. Learn a little HTML, CSS, PERL, and Javascript along the way and you will be able to make it look nice.
I wish you all the best, but I hate to see you start off on the wrong foot only to get frustrated. Trust me, spend time in planning and setting up the initial layout, and add content later. A couple months time doing that now will save tons of frustration and headache later.
Check out this simple site I did years ago to support gaming on the Eee. It looks simple, but I did it all by hand, and making the scrolling window and expandable rows took lots of time to have it work out just right in all browsers. I just wanted to see how much traffic it would drive and in the end, it was still more effort than it was worth. -
^or just host the website off your home computer for the first couple of years and save yourself some cash

Anyone wants to help me review games on my new blog??
