Everything is going to hell in a handbasket...

I lost interest in the HL2 universe completely. I don't have anything major against episodic content, but they should have ensured that the episodes were released within a decent timeframe. As it is, Episode 2 is now delayed until June 2007, which will have been a whole year of waiting since Ep 1 to play another 5 hours of the game. As it is, I no longer care what happens in the HL2 universe.

From the looks of it, episode 2 will be much bigger...
-
Will it? Or is it just that it will include two other games?
Anyway, it's getting a bit ridiculous how long they're taking to develop these ~5 hour episodes, when their stated reason for doing them was that "it'd be easier to release regularly"
But hey, Ep 2 should be interesting. And being bundled with TF2 is just awesome -

I am also a Half-Life fan, but I agree that Valve has really screwed up. Episodes must be delivered in a good timeframe, otherwise they are useless. Its just typical of companies to want to make more money by releasing on consoles too rather than looking after the PC world. Oh well, perhaps I will also have lost interest by the time it comes out!

LOL.
Any of you watched the trailers?
The trailers show a bit too much depth to be 5 hours. I'd say it's gonna be a 10-15 hour game. -
How on earth can you gather from several trailers that its going to be a 10-15 hour game? Do you watch movie trailers and come to the same conclusion? So far we've seen Gordon in some caves, Gordon in the woods, and Gordon around what looks like some forest industry centre. If they make a 10-15 hour game of that it'll be the dullest thing imaginable.
Gabe Newell, or someone from Valve has said, that Ep2 will be slightly longer than Ep1. I wouldn't be surprised the real reason its delayed as they are trying to implement their new dynamic lighting system into Source, as otherwise by the time Ep 2 launches next year it'll look very dated compared to what will be coming out then (Crysis, Alan Wake etc) -
Just the entire theme of whats going on in the trailors... they couldn't be wrapped up in 5 hours unless it's a crappy story... it would take 10-15 hours...
-
If the game is 10-15 hours long, I'll buy you a coke.

Make it a beer and your on
Anyone watch the trailors for Episode 2?
