I'm not too sure if this is possible, but I would be curious on extending battery life and/or streching performance a little. Currently own XPS m140 from Dell with 1 GB 533MHz RAM and a 1.86 GHz P-M.

I think that it is overclocked along with the FSB - meaning - if you overclock FSB - you will overclock memory and CPU and GMA 900.
Cheers,
Ivan -
sorry for being a little dense here, but how can you overclock the FSB? On a Dell no less?

There is no point to overclocking the GMA900, even if it is possible. There will be no performance increase, and underclocked, there will be no battery life increase.

that's cool...i didn't think that it would work with my FSB already being 533MHz (reference to a old P-M overclocking method for 400MHz FSB).
Looks like I'll be thinking about get a new computer sooner rather than later though...maybe Christmas time! -
FSB can be overclocked through BIOS if it supports it, and
you can use ClockGen if it works (haven't found for my rig yet).
Sorry for the delay - I was busy whole day.
But what Chaz said - I can confirm that GMA900 on normal clock gives 780
3dmark06, and 5% overclocked gives 795. So nothing to worry about.

Anyway to underclock/overclock the GMA 900?
