OK first up, is it still possible to play online? I never did but I got my netbook recently and dug up AoEII as it's one of the best low graphic games ever invented.

I would like to play another human as I'm bored of the AI and I think an 8 player death match would be extraordinary if we could somehow work out a good time to get together.

Anyone interested and want to be put on the list?
Also, if anyone wants to set up an IRC to better assemble ourselves feel free :)

Signs i must be too old. I play aoe 2 regularly. Although i'm hard pressed to find someone at my skill level. most people are either new to multiplayer or are rediculously good.

Being in sydney i might be able to play you on a saturday morning or evening. your 10 or 9 hours behind so would be a bit difficult to time it right.

I used to play this and the mod maps (that one where units endlessly spawn from your main castle and slowly become stronger units) religiously way back when. I still have fond memories of this, as well as Rogue Spear which I played at the same time.

use gameranger or voobly. the game is still fun and I'll play if anyone's interested. Just has to be at the right time.

I love AoE2. So addicting back in the day. Used to play that and Red Alert 2 endlessly. Great games.

Thats true, there are some sick players in AOE2. I remember me and 2 friends played 3 vs 1 and this guy actually won in the end!
