Well, both SpeedFan ( http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php) and Motherboard Monitor ( http://www.dvhardware.net/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=3) can give you temps.
For vRAM usage, try Leadtek's WinFox ( http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=55377). Don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try.

RivaTuner is the one and only utility to do all monitoring with an OSD (on-screen display) while in-game.
-
Yup, see Gophn's guide on how to use RivaTuner to display stuff: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=81852

Or my sig!
-
my updated RivaTuner guide is coming up.... sit tight for an all out new guide to show you how to monitor pretty much EVERYTHING in your system while in-game.
-
Haha or that
Sweet. Is it going to be a new guide or an update to your existing one? -
its going to be replacing the old one.
last thing, should I included a tutorial video on how to set RivaTuner up? (using flash of course) -
Why isn't there anything for ATI GPUs?
-
Cool cool
I like screenshots + instructions because then I can skip to a certain step without having to watch the whole thing through. Also, it's easier for people to go at their own pace that way.
But, it might be easier for you to do a video instead of taking dozens of screenshots and making the post super long. Your call

ATI cards (especially mobile ones) have their temp sensors not available for software to detect them... while low-level firmware will control the fans if the temp reaches a certain point.
Sorry, I gave up on trying to monitor mobile ATI GPU temps a while back because most of them are gimped from their hardware monitor abilities as compared to their desktop brothers.
No harm in trying though, if RivaTuner detects the GPU Core Temp, then you're lucky; if not, then oh well... -
Sweet. Thanks to everyone.

thanks.
I actually watched the whole 10min edit of the Youtube clip and realized there was a problem during the video export in Flash.... one of the "Tween" motions did not render... thats why you will notice a Youtube "Annotation" that I added... near the middle of the video.
the final Shockwave with menu navigation version does not have that issue. -
ATI tray tool does this and you don't have to code or jump through fancy hoops. just tick OSD and goto OSD options and display VRAM CPU temps gpu temps or GPU utilization VRAM memory yadda yadda yadda..
if you have vista 32 use this one
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=3030980&postcount=536
its beta but its sweet. also update directx at microsoft if your gonna use this in vista 32. (stock directx doesn't have a file for the overlay) -
Yea, I noticed that. Luckily, it doesn't distract from the video, so it's all good
App for displaying GPU temp/VRam usage ingame?
