I just found out about this on the GOG.com forums. From Interplay.com - "Interplay has opened a new office in Orange County, CA dedicated to the development of their new MMO, code-named 'Project V13', headed by original creators of Fallout".
In cases you're wondering what this has to do with Fallout you probably haven't played the original games. V13 = Vault 13, where the original Fallout starts off.
Anyway this is amazing news.

Yeah, they sold the rights to make Fallout so that they could get the capital to make the MMO. Don't remember if it's just to make the SP games or the entire IP.

Yes. I heard this on XPlay (G4 TechTV) last night. I let out a resounding 'woot!' when they mentioned this. My wife thought I was nuts.
And Chris Taylor rejoining Interplay for the development solidifies the commitment in releasing this highly anticipated mmo. Finally a breathe of fresh air in a stagnant (ie. orc-stenched) market.

There's more links but I have an ongoing battle with Websense @ work. -
I'd rather see them create some stand alone PC games.
I never cared for online games.
guess I'm selfish like that -
If it's done right... huzzah!
If not... *shudder*
The gaming landscape is cluttered with dead and dying MMO's from companies who tried to cash in on the concept. And sci-fi themed MMO's seem especially difficult to implement successfully. So if they can pull it off, I am definitely interested... but I'm not going to hold my breath. -
MMOs are just a waste of time, mostly used by strange people. -
I resent that.
And even if that were the case, by the looks of your avatar you'd fit right in! -
There are too many people and too much activity and then there is the competition....who has what magical item or weapon or the most kills.
You can't tell me it isn't "strange" when people start paying real money for imaginary swords on eBay. -
Apparently Interplay is back...and they're working on a Fallout MMO
