I do not think a game like Stalker is going to run well with GMA950 graphics. It seems to be a very demanding engine (frankly, it doesn't run that well on my desktop GeForce 6800GT).

Try it out? I've played Stalker on my PC, it's very graphic intensive. I'm pretty doubtful, but let us know how it goes.

Well tonight I tried rFactor instead of Stalker. Worked great under Windows Vista and I only got 1Gb Of Ram..

Played it for like 3Hrs Str8..Frame Rate Was Gr8..

Settings Were On 800 By 600 and On Directx 7..

You may be thinkin that graphics sucked but well they didn't in fact they were great..800 By 600 Isnt That Bad on a 13.4 Inch Screen..Very Playable..

Tomorrow im gonna try Stalker..Hope it works :)!

Seriously, don't get your hopes up on STALKER. It's a demanding game that frankly can make even fairly powerful GPU's struggle; you're expecting too much I think for the GMA950 to handle it.

I think STALKER will run badly as the min requirement for rfactor are:

    # 1.4 GHz processor
    # Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP 64-bit (will NOT run in Windows 95 or Windows 98 first edition)
    # 512 MB RAM
    # Geforce4 4200 or Radeon 9200
    # 128 MB video RAM
    # DirectX 9.0c

    While Stalker:
    Pentium 4 2 Ghz/AMD XP 2200+
    1 gig of ram
    Geforce 5700/ATI Radeon 9600/ 128 MB/DirectX 8

Let us know though, I had an integrated x200m ran FEAR at medium 800x600 so I have been wrong before!

Yes, it should worry you. The GMA 950 will be hard pressed to scrape by anything over 10 fps on low settings for STALKER, IF it's playable at all.

I thought my system would run STALKER good with max settings, but it stutters a lot with everything max.

I guess my cpu hurts the performance some since the recommended is a Core 2 Duo E6400.

Hmmm, I don't see how that could be unless you only have 1gb RAM or something.

Stalker ran smooth as silk on my old PC, it was a P4 3.2ghz (NOT dual core) with an older X800 Pro AGP video card. Your specs blow that away.

I don't know, I think STALKER just seems to be iffy depending on the platform, maybe?

My own PC is an Athlon 64 3400+ (also not dual core) and a 6800GT AGP card, and even on lower detail settings it stutters, especially in outdoor environments (to the point where it's hardly enjoyable to play).

I too ran Stalker on my Old Pc..Pentium 4(S478)..1gb Ram, 7300Gs Pci Express..Ran At Medium Settings. But on medium not on high..think on high it needs a 8800Gtx..

I'm going to correct myself - I don't think I was on the Hi settings. The game did play acceptably fast, but I'm pretty sure I turned down some of the options. I don't have that PC anymore so I can't go check....

Stalker is poorly optimized and turning on Object or Full dynamic lighting makes the game unplayable on my e1705 with the go 7900GS graphics card.

If I turn it to static lighting I can play at 1440x900 with maximum settings (Preset) at about 50fps average. I get stuttering but that's because I have 1GB of ram right now.

    With static lighting, yea.

Not even the highest desktop performance parts can run STALKER great with full dynamic lighting on, which is a testiment (or lack there of) to the optimization of the graphics engine STALKER used. :(

That blows me away frankly; although granted, I didn't try to take my 6800GT down to 800x600 and minimum graphics.
