Im playing BC 2 and the laptop is blowing some really hot air. Speedfan shows 75 C on all cores. Is this okay?

What CPU is it? Lower the better, but most will shut off at 105C to protect the system from frying. I would be more concerned about GPU temperatures....

It's fine.

75 C is fine, but lower is always better

now its 80-83
how do i check GPU temps? -
83c is fine. My Macbook Pro 17 with the C2D T9600 would hit 99C while playing Crysis. Under 90C is ok in my book, but you might want to re-paste your CPU to lower the temps. I re-pasted my Asus G51 and it dropped the temps by 8C.
I use HWMonitor and an Nvidia desktop gadget to monitor my GPU temp. GPU-Z also works great. -
Anyway, if it's below 90C, just ignore it. Temps don't matter unless they're in the danger zone. -
If it makes you feel any better, it is almost impossible to damage a CPU from overheating through normal use. CPUs are designed to throttle themselves or shut themselves down once a thermal threshold is reached. You could rip off the heatsink / fan altogether, and your CPU still wouldn't fry itself because of this throttling. -
If I don't take the back panel off of my laptop while playing BC2 my CPU stays around 80C, but with the panel off and the cooler on high it stays around 70C. 80 isn't too bad; I have a friend who has hit 102C with his HP laptop (with an i5 and 5650) playing BC2. Ambient temperatures play the biggest role for laptops.

My dell has a i7-720qm and it gets hot when running bc2. The keyboard was also getting hot so i got a laptop cooler witch made the keyboard lots cooler.
think the cpu gets to about 80c and the gpu about 65c -

Cooler is better..

Are CPU temperatures of 75 C too high while gaming?
