I remember back in the days when Geforce 7xxx and 8xxx was the new stuff.
People here mostly played games on their new 8600GT DDR2 or DDR3 of they were lucky. Hell some ppl even overclocked their 8400 GS to the extreme melting point to be able to run Crysis with 15-20 FPS on medium settings. The Intel x3100 owners where crazy about tweaking their brand new intel GPU to the limit with custom made exe and tweak files so they could run CSS on over 30 FPS all low settings.
I remember one blue hairy NBR member getting a hold of the 8800GTSm with a Intel X7800 and ppl where dying to see the benchmarks and compare it with their 8600GT's or 7800GT's.
TODAY all i see is 680M SLI and 7970 Crossfire owners taking over the whole forum basically. What happened? Did laptops drop so much in price that today everybody can afford a high-end new machine?
Also things seem so quiet here as well, but maybe am just imagining things

Actually, the gaming notebooks are bloody expensive. You can build a desktop beast that can run circles around them for the same price.
-
Progress. I hate when that happens.

Dunno what to say. Making my little beast took 4 months net wages (i upgraded each piece over a period of about 8 months).
But you're right about it feeling silent on the forum. I usually check in every day and look at the new started thread list once every hour. Many times there don't appear to be more than 50 new threads a day. -
YAY! MSILOVER got a chance to rant. Wasn't that fun though? A whole thread devoted to a rant about, well, people's preferences.
LOL. Please don't start these kinds of threads. It's like graffiti on a marble wall.
Thread closed because useless thread is oddly enough... useless.
Are Laptop gamers richer or more spoiled these days? I remember...
