Almost all the major OEMs who go with nVidia are still using the 9000 series cards. I was wondering when we might start seeing the 100 or 200 series as a mainstream option. Thanks.

Id say we will see new models of laptops with 100/200 cards around late fall/xmass time . Or perhaps Q1 of 2010 , technology is not standing in 1 spot .

Acer's slowwwwly but surely moving to the new GeForce series at least - the new Aspire 5739G and 7738G use the GT 130M, and an Nvidia driver INF for the 8935G hinted at a possible GTX 280M for that notebook.

I think when the 40nm chips become common place, will you see a shift. The issue with the big OEM's is that their standard notebooks don't like the heat that faster chips put out.

i have already seen a new acer 5935g with with gt240m(48sp 128bit bus) in china. the laptop itself is totally different from the 5930g.

I think they'll adapt the 200M series more than the 100M as the latter is still based on the previous core. I'm looking forward to a thin and light with a 210M-2x better than a 9400M. Fall/Winter 2009 will probably be a good time to expect those.
Are OEMs going to refresh their nVidia cards anytime soon?
