Even though I play Crysis on low, there is a lot of lagging. I was wondering if there's a way to increase the performance. Thanks.

Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
Yes, get better hardware. If you are already playing on low, not much more you can do imo. Most tweaks are about getting better FPS and visuals out of high-ish settings.

Crisis is an amazing game demanding amazing hardware. Short of getting a better computer I am afraid you are out of luck there! Start saving today!

Turn down the settings? Its a two year old game and my 4870 still cant max it, i can play very high at 1920x1200 and it sits between 30 and 45 FPS.
-
Forget about the game until you can max it (or at least run it on high). You will enjoy the experience more so because of it.
Crysis is a good game, with amazing visuals, but the experience of playing it on a low-end system, and trying all kinds of tweaks etc to eek out a few more frames is frustrating and not the best way to enjoy the game. -
This is so true! Crysis is not that fun in actual fact! Nothing amazing. Only amazing is their graphics! Without the best graphics it seems pointless! I will suggest games like ARMA!

don't forget the amazing physics and the intuitive controls, as well as the original "super powers".
Honestly, I don't really care about the plot in a video game. A book, a movie, a play, yes. But a video game? Too absorbed killing things. -
ccc 2.21 give me about 30% improvement

You can try CCC or other various custom configs.
Also overclocking your system can help. -
Sorry Original poster, apparently everyone on this forum thinks everyone has to have $4000 system even though not everyone can get that kind of system. There is nothing wrong with playing on lower settings. You can go to your graphics card control center and set the settings to ''performance''.This should help.

When you do figure out the tweaks and/or hardware upgrades you require please inform NASA.

If he cant play low, hes just going to get frustrated from it not being able to play. Its a game that demands a better system to be enjoyable. And $4k? A $900 laptop is more than enough for high settings, let alone a desktop. But people are telling the truth, not everyoine NEEDS a high end system, but you also dont NEED to play a game. If you wont be able to upgrade in the near future, sell the game.

Blasphemy! -
What about your system specs and game settings? That would help us figure out what could be done.
-
actually i could build a desktop that could max crysis, for about 750$.
-
mine was about $1000, if i used Core 2 instead of i7 than I easily could have a desktop to max it.
-
Thanks everyone, but I have already resolved the problem.... I bought a new desktop.

I cant believe no one has posted this yet: http://www.tweakguides.com/Crysis_1.html

^^ Because there's no point. What's he going to tweak if he can't even play it on all low settimgs? lol
Are there any tweaks that help Crysis performance?
