I did a search and couldn't really find a related thread so I thought I would create and ask one here. My apologies if I somehow missed one.

Is there still an active multiplayer community for MW2 now that MW3 is out? Steam has it on sale for $15 here in the US and I was thinking of picking it up. I've read that the single-player campaign is really short and that much of its appeal comes from the multi-player aspect.

haha, I was just about to ask this same question :p

As you can see....still in the top 10, which is great for a game older than 2 years. Black Ops was released last year, and it's not nearly as popular with multiplayer.

Funny how steam bumped the price to $30 (supposedly the original value) when it was $19.99 a month ago and there was no special going on.

I would only buy this game if it were $10. So I'm still going to wait this one out.

It's his money and his decision. If it's not worth $60 to him, then it's not worth $60 to him. If he wants to wait until it's $10, he can. Though I suspect he'll be waiting for a long time.

You gotta remember not everyone considers this game so l33t. For $60, I would rather buy 3-4 games.

A few months ago, it was on a sale for $10 if you bought it with world at war. Too bad I missed it :(

AlterIWnet, google it. Have fun with dedicated servers and a modern anti-cheat system ;) It is actually really amazing.
