    I ran 3D Mark 06, Vantage and 11 today, on my Dell Vostro 3550 i5 2410M @2.3GHz, 4GB ram, AMD 6630M.

    06 - 7434 points
    Vantage - 4004 points
    11 - 1003 points

At the top of each result it says processor is not recognised, graphics driver is not approved. Then it lists my card as AMD Radeon 6750M.

Interesting! My results are all near or over the maximum scores listed in that review. So yea, guess it's all accurate.

Still curious why it doesn't recognise my card as the 6630M and thinks it's a 6750M. I'm guessing it's something to do with the revised AMD/Dell driver I updated with, that Dell web posted recently to get the switching graphics drivers to work properly.

Most likely that is the issue with the nonrecognition.

Yep. Mkelliny, here's another little thing, if you might be able to throw any light on the matter. I've got the 6630 selected as the primary high performance GPU, and the intel 3000 is the secondary power saving GPU. But the intel control centre is controlling my desktop and game gamma, hue, saturation, colour, brightness, whereas nothing seems to change with the video settings in CCC. Should be CCC controlling it all shouldn't it?

What laptop do you have? Have you tried switching back and forth between integrated and discrete? As far as I know if you have the 6630 selected it CCC should be controlling those settings.

No, I'll try that. I mean once dell posted the new bios and amd drivers I set the 'switchable driver method' which is a setting in the CCC to manual, and selected the 6630 as the high performance gpu. I'll try switching back and forth to see if it changes anything. It's a Dell Vostro 3550 i5

Try setting it to automatic from manual. Unless Auto was causing you problems?

Also just read this in that link

I'll try auto, as I have it to manual. Yeah, that was with the older software. I was able to do all that but it more often than not still defaulted to the intel and ignored my commands, and so there were some games I couldn't play. Now that software has been replaced with a different looking interface. I'll do some screenshots for you in a bit.

From what I understand, the Intel always displays despite which GPU is being used, The AMD is only piped through the Intel GPU, so the Intel GPU would manage all the display brightness, gamma, etc settings.
