During Pax East 2011, one of the audience ask if Guild Wars 2 will be release before the end of 2011 and one of the member on the developer team answer "YES" and now it 2012 and still no news of when Guild Wars 2 will be release.

That just anger me to no avail.

Also look like I won the name for the NBR guild name!

    The evil knows no boundries.

I heard its in closed beta testing as of now so it cant be too long until its released.
Either Spring or Fall since nobody releases good games in the summer.

Blizzard does that all the time, can't blame them for learning this, to keep the hype up lol.

Better late & polished than an on time piece of.... cake.

If GW2 is as good as they make it out to be it will be a game that will last for years, no need to rush release and potentially destroy the reception and longevity of the game.

I would like it if they could keep posting new content videos and other game material for us like they were doing for a while. I used to be able to go to youtube and every week find a new video about the game and it kept things fresh and exciting for me.

You know they did release the closed beta, so it has to be this year very soon.

Actually Blizzard never does this, because they don't commit to release dates that early. They announced the release date less than 2 months beforehand for SC2, and prior to that it was the old "when it's done" or "soon" company line. Same for Cataclysm and all the other WoW expansions.

You're wrong, you should double-check your sources. The question that was asked from the audience at that panel, was "When are you going to reveal the final class", and to that they did indeed answer "I think we can safely say we will reveal it before the end of the year." - which they did. Information on the 8th profession (the Mesmer) was released on December 14, 2011.

They also told us (though not specifically at PAX) that the game would enter closed beta before the end of the year... which has also happened.

None of the developers ever claimed that the game would be released in 2011... they have been very consistent in that, and all questions about a release date have been answered with a "when it's ready". If you have sources to prove otherwise, then please post them.
