So I got my new (used) rig 2 nights ago, and the game I was waiting to play again is driving me insane!

Hitman: Blood Money just crashes randomly at just about any point in the first level. No pattern or warning, just jumps to desktop.

After browsing Eidos's help forum and the internets it seems this game crashes for lots of reasons, none of them mine. I've turned down the graphics, i've tried shader model 2 instead of 3, i've turned off EAX... I've reinstalled Direct X, i've patched to 1.2...

I beat it on my ancient Gateway when I had to play on lowest everything, and now that I've got a rig beefy enough to make everything look pretty it wont play.

I've played GTA: San Andreas extensively, and its fine. Doesnt seem to be overheating either.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I've got a:
    Pentium M 1.73
    Geforce 6800 256mb
    2gb ram

I wish I could offer some help... but last year I experienced the same issue at the 4th level i think - the one at the opera house so I just stopped playing. If anyone offers a solution I might give it another shot.
