I run Arma at 1440x900 in "very low" mode with a 8600M GT. Check for comparaison

My Inspiron 6400 was rubbish for ArmA. 800x600 very low settings, or there will be too much of a mouse delay to be playable.

You need an 8600GT or above to enjoy ArmA.

Would dual 8800M (512Mb+512Mb) be able to handle 1920x1200 in high detail does anyone think?

Believe it or not but there are still some games that even dual 8800GTX's will stutter on at 1920x1200 resolution. NWN2 is one that pops to mind with everything set to max. That water reflection at max is killer. Supreme commander with 200+ units fighting is another.

Armed Assault is coded like an absolute turd. I have never seen a game as look bad and run as bad as this game does.

The desktop pc I use to have had a Opteron @ 2.8 ghz and a 8800 gts in it. Running the game at 1280x720, I could only turn the graphics up to medium and shadow off and really did not get 30 fps, still a bit choppy. I messed and messed with settings until I blue in the face and finally said the hell with it and haven't touched it since. I do not dare try it on this notebook.

noone mentioned this, but the game itself SUCKS, im sorry but it does, it looks no better than operation flashpoint and is actually worse than that game, and i played OP for days and days, this game i gave up on after 30 minutes, not to mention it runs like sh*t on any system

My Bro has ARMA installed on his desktop rig. I gotta say, when he has it playing on his 22" LCD, it really is beautiful. I love the graphics in it.

It runs fairly well on my Asus W3J (ATI X1600) at medium to lowish settings. The game really comes into its own for the Co-op play. I've played some awesome co-op missions in it!

Op Flashpoint was great, I lost many hours playing that game late into the night... :D

Your ATI X1400 rig will probably struggle playing it mate unless you drop all your settings and play it around the 800 x 600 res.
