This looks like its going to be a pretty good game coming up soon.

Seems like a BF2 + AA kinda of mixture.

You can grab the demo here:

It has not been released in the U.S.A. yet but will sometime in May, I cannot figure out as to why this is.

I like the whole 60 players capture the Island thing, kinda brings back memories of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising's massive 150 player battles.

    Those were the days!

Ever played Operation Flashpoint? - This is it. Just better looking.

But when they say you need a minimum 6800 or X800 to enjoy this game - they mean it. On my poor X1400, I had to reduce the graphics details to a level where the game looked worse than Operation: Flashpoint.

Mind you, it's still the greatest game released in the last two years, but I just don't have a computer to do it justice.

Have a look around on ofp.gamepark.cz, plenty of mods and effects that bring OFP up to a ~2004 level of graphics.

I agree it is very slow and I managed to get some decent framerates at 800x600 res and med settings and overclocked x700. And as lysander said - if you have the original Operation Flashpoint check ofp.gamepark.cz - and you'll be surprised what the original (directx 7 game) can pull. I still prefer the original instead of this godzilla.
Check the FFUR addons of OFP!

I particularly like the FFUR European pack. Replaces the US Army with the Bundeswehr. Also adds things like leaning and recoil.
