Hello. Can anyone tell me what this artifact is caused by and how to fix it.

I have an MS-16F2 1D1 laptop with an Intel i7-2670QM and a Radeon 7970m. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and this seems to occur most often when I am running games in 1080p. I have seen my CPU reach 84 C and my GPU reach 86 C maximum. Originally I had a GTX 570m and I noticed this artifact on occasion with that card as well. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
