    Hey everyone,

I have just recently bought Crysis and have installed the latest patches and the Magnus72 tweak to run in DX9 Mode.
I am getting a decent framerate but the only problem is I get a graphical glitch (only in DX9 mode) when using the cloak mode in the game.

My system is M1730 with 8800m GTX SLI 177.66 drivers from LV2G and I am using stock speeds.

    Any ideas ?

    Regards Jim

My GPU themps are 80c when playing.

I am trying to upload 2 bmp images. 156k & 142k but nothing seems to be happening. How long does it usually take to upload them?

    Regards Jim

sounds like the the tweak thats causing this problem. Try reverting back to default ini to see if it makes a difference.

No its not the tweak is happened before in DX9. I installed the Magnus72 tweak to see if it would stop it happening.

hummm, why dont you just play in dx10 then, i think dual 8800m gtx is enough to handle it.

I get about a 15fps increase in DX9 (which means I now have 35-45fps.) Its much more playable

Or try a different driver. I once had a glitching problem and a different driver sorted it out :)

Maybe try installing the latest DirectX 9.0c redist? I think at the moment the latest is the August 2008 package.

For the 8800M GTX, try using the latest 177.92 drivers. You can get them from laptopvideo2go.com If you've never used drivers from there before you'll need to download the driver and modified .inf file, extract the drivers to any location, then replace (drag and drop will do) the current .inf file from the extraction with the modified .inf file. Then run the setup. Of course, as with all drivers, remove the old ones first, restart, then install the new ones.

I upgraded from 177.83 to 177.92 and found an FPS increase. Other users have noticed better temps, but I myself haven't. It just seems to be a stable driver over all, for both single and SLi configured 8800M GTX's.

Well it´s my tweak there. I can say what is causing your artifacts and that is exactly that driver you are using. Use 177.92 instead and those artifacts is gone when using cloak mode :)
