Just a update info for those interested but don't know, Assassin's Creed is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2008 for PC (US) and February 29, 2008 (UK). Something to look forward to!
It's available for pre-order on many sites already, I already placed mine =)

Cool. Need to see how No More Heroes turns out then, because it's NMH vs AC for my February purchase. Just hope AC doesn't pull a "Gears of War."
-
I just hope its a good port.

What do you mean doesn't pull a GoW?

Will the game lend itself to a mouse and keyboard?

I already have Assassin's Creed on my 360

Delayed to March 25, 2008 in USA now...

At the system requirements...

holy crap, 2,6 GHz dual core and 3GB ram recommended! Seems that the 3.5GB limit of 32bit is coming sooner than expected...

On second thought, I might as well cancel my preorder and play it on my friend's 360...

Hold on. These aren't official yet. Wait until the game is released. Those sound very steep for a game that doesn't seem to offer anything extraordinary. Other console ports like Gears of War run on my spec'd laptop very well, so I wouldn't expect any less from Assassin's Creed.

finally! I can't wait to play this on the computer.
I've played it on the Xbox at a friend of mine but nothing is better than a PC -
the actual specs will doubtfully be close to that. firstly between 2gb and 3gb ram, there is hardly a performance gain for games. minimum requirements will probably need a 256mb card with dx9 and shader/etc capability. if its anywhere near Crysis, it'll be completely retarded. people should relax about the reqs. though...if your current notebook can handle games like Oblivion, FEAR, Crysis or any other recent games at medium settings (low-medium for Crysis), you'll be fine.

i dont think a game will demand 3.5 GB of ram already, i mean the limit is 4gb, so after 2 months all new systems with 4gb will be bottlenecked? lol i dont buy that

If 3GB is recommended, there is something seriously wrong with how the game is coded. It's a PC. A little hard drive activity won't hurt anything.
