Well, I can say I'm really impressed.
When I saw the minimum and reccomended requirements I thought I'll be able to run it with medium settings or so..
The only thing what disturbed me, was Fraps effect, it left a white backround spot for the fps number backround.
This game looks and plays better than Crysis, at least..so far.
Here are some screenshots.

Overall, it runs great with 8600M GT.
When the fps was like 17~20 in some areas it didn't slow down the game, you couldn't understand it was like that, it seems like it would be running stable 30+ fps all the time, seriously.![]()
The settings in game were game detected automatically, I didn't have to touch them at all.
I guess that's all, if you have any questions I'll try to answer them.

Commenting on the point of 17-20fps and no visible slowdown: It seems hard to believe, but I think modern games are more stable and fluid at low fps, for example I have played (demos) Bioshock and Crysis and I can say that even at 20fps both of them feel really fliud.
-
That's awesome that the game ran that well! From what I heard it sounded like it was going to be even more demanding than Crysis. What values is your graphics card overclocked to. I have an 8600M GT as well(unfortunately with only 256MB onboard memory
)
-
Oh don't worry about the memory, no games will not even use the 256mb fully.

I thought this game didn't come out for the PC yet...
-
Hell , I thought the same thing.. I can`t even find anything on it being launched yet O_O
-
^me too...
-
I think it was leaked. I found it on torrent yesterday, released by Reloaded (with crack) and Procyon (Clone).
Just hope that my XPS M1710 with a 7900GS@stock can handle it. -
Game is Due April 8th 2008. This is obviously pirated software.
-
The game isn't available yet, but you can download it illegally.
I bet it will run nicely on my quad core with an 8800 GT ^_^ -
-
Illegall copy, recommend this thread to be closed...
-
Why does it matter where I got the game? o_o
It's a little review how this game performs on a lappy with 8600M GT. -
It matters because notebookreview DOES NOT CONDONE illegal and pirated software discussions.
There is NO TOLERANCE for such things...have you waited until the launch of the game, the review might have been plausible.. -
It looks good. It's the range of FPS I'm looking for ahaha. However, I'm in 1680x1050 so I probably will have to completly turn of AA.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Not really. Get off of his back. Nice work Akuma. He is no way condoning illegal activities or discussing them. For all you know his uncle could be one of the developers giving him a build to play. You guys are the one who are in the wrong by accusing him and also in fact are the ones bringing up this topic.
He doesn't have to disclose where he got it from and he is no way disccussing anything illegal. -
Couldn't he be one of the game testers?
-
LOL. So much for that topic
-
Those are some great screenshots! That looks very good!
-
i am sorry for previous post!
-
Akuma: What's your overclock settings? If I do pick this up I'm wondering how stock-clocked 8600mGT DDR2 cards will fare.
-
You have a DDR2 8600, right? Hopefully DDR3 8600s will have a framerate that never dips below 20.
-
Can you post more screenshoots?
-
Unless your going to buy the actual game (in that case ignore this) I hope you get banned from this site, walk outside and get hit by a car. Sorry for the understatement but I hate people who pirate PC games.
-
sorry... But considering his laptop, being one of the game designer is kind of not possible, He should hav a more demanding computer... His uncle as a designer isnt impossible tho
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
I said that because I have 2 friends where thats true.
Activision and EA. WEll uncle and cousin.

For those who are geekin' about the "pirate this or pirate that" crap, chill out. No need to strain over (for all we know) legal actions.
We're talking about an incredible game that plenty of people are anticipating the release of. Personally, I'm more than happy that Akuma's kind enough to give us a heads up on the details and demands of Assassin's Creed. Btw Akuma, looks great and have fun with it. Keep us informed as the game unfolds. -
-
thanks for the info on the game Akuma. looks amazing on the 8600mGT. looks like they did good work on tweaking the game for PC....unlike crysis.
-
Either you're daft, or you've got some brass on you to post this over a month before the actual release date.
-
I still think I'd rather it for 360.
Games tend to look better on 360 unless you have a 8800GTX.
