This has kinda been prevalent since I started playing AC2 a while back. I'm now on revelations and theres always this choppiness and lag in outdoor areas. Basically it always happens if I move the camera around too fast in unexplored areas or where I'm running to. It happens on the lowest possible settings as well as higher settings. Lowest settings don't really make a huge difference to my fps. I can turn up some stuff and lose around 3-4 fps on average. I get around 25-30 fps on medium ish settings in outdoor areas. This also only happens in outdoor/heavily lit areas. My fps will drop from 30 to 14-17 and the camera will become really choppy for a few seconds. I have to leave it alone and my fps will spike back up. Anyone know if it's fixable?

youre gpu is probably struggling with the game at 1080p. try lowering your resolution and you should get better fps'es. both those games do tax the gpu a lot, even at lowest settings.

your GPU's in both laptops arent exactly all that powerful and the assassins creed games can tax them when trying to render the open world

Well, it's best to game on a well built gaming desktop. I have no problem playing 2560 x 1600 at very high settings on my Geforce 570 HD i7 2600k desktop.

^^^ that doesn't really help...I haven't had any issues running it on my well built gaming laptop. (Still bragging about your desktop I see.)

The best thing I could recommend is to either reduce some settings, resolution or both. It can get slow downs, because your system is an older one.

I had to lower my resolution slightly for brotherhood, though I didn't need to for revelations. I do run into lag spikes in the beginning but it usually goes away.

Just play around with your settings.
