But here are some more details and leaked screenshots..
Assassin’s Creed III – Lots of new details, first leaked screenshots | DSOGaming | The Dark Side Of Gaming
This is turning into the Modern Warfare of action/adventure games with such frequent installments.. -
Merrica !

well i kinda like a different country (solely coz america has english language already) so far we had jerusalem, italy/rome which has good country accents. now america.
-
Why do people hat this idea and somehow associate it with call of duty so much? Last time I checked call of duty is far passed this in the age. The closest game that comes even near this with it's time is Empire: Total War. So I think this is a super original and super cool idea.
-
This will be its fifth major release in five years, not including phone games, PSP games and DS games.
Revelations was absolutely terrible in my opinion. The whole attack system on your hideouts or whatever was dumb. The last good one was Brotherhood. They are starting to recycle things and rebadge it as a new game (notice how Call of Duty does this). You can only keep a series going so long and this one has been dragging it out for a while now.
Yes, most games do this, but they manage to do it in a way that keeps it fresh and keeps gamers interested. -
-
I love the Assassin Creed games, they are my favorite games. I am EAGERLY waiting for AC3.
AC1 was repetitive but starting from AC2 they did it right, brotherhood was amazing and revelations was a really good conclusion to Ezio's story. -
I thought Revelations was pushing it a little, but meh.
I'm excited about AC3. -
I thought Brotherhood was annoying, Revelations was easier. After playing for so long I want them to end the series already.
-
It's set in America. I kid you not when I say I buy it for that reason alone.
-
Revelations is just Brotherhood with bombs added. That's all I remember after playing it for a week. I uninstalled the game right after beating it lol... Desmond's memory missions were kinda annoying, not because they were hard, but they were repetitive.
-
No interest in the game -- the "must always be online for single player content DRM" has turned me away from Ubisoft permanently.
-
Assassin's creed is like Fable. Over-promises and under-delivers.
-
As far as the series goes, it does seem like they're just dragging it out now. If I'm honest, the whole american indian thing looks a bit rubbish. I really wasn't much impressed with the release advert. Revelations was supposed to be the end of things, so why can't they just keep it that way? -
-
Desmond is AC's main story, Altair / Ezio / Connor are all just memories. -
Yes that is all correct i am pretty excited about this one looks like to be really more interesting Ezio was getting pretty boring after a bit and Brotherhood's score was way better than revelations, but i personally have been waiting for a game to be about the American Revolution for a very very long time and finally my wish and many others will come true i just hope they improve on the graphics a bit more on pc because the last game ug besides the face detail the rest was just blah.

Bump: I'm still excited about this game. I have all of them, and like many, I didn't like the first one (still haven't finished it) but I loved everything else. Revelations' Den defense was the worst thing about the game, but that was probably the only complaint I had. Plus, I was so careful about not being too consipicuous that I actually was more careful, so I only did the Den Defense max 2 times.
I don't really care if the gameplay is repetitive (is there anything cooler than sneaking behind someone and assassinating them???), but the story and plotline is still top notch. Yes, the DRM is annoying, but I can live with that. I don't remember the reviewer, but the graphics are so good that someone said if you want to visit the sistine chapel without ever actually going there, play ACII.
Plus, AC3 is meant to be a new game. New mechanics, new elements added (hunting ftw!), and a brand new storyline.

Cant wait for this game to be released. Im interested to see how the new mechanics will be in this game; from what I have read, its enough for it to feel new but still have that AC feel to it.

Are people really not that interested in this game?? I guess everyone is just tired of the same things

I'm interested and excited, although i won't be getting until it goes down to under $20

I was most pleased with AC 2 as the main character is from the city where I grew up... Firenze
It felt good to explore in game the many locations in the historical part of Florence which are still there today. -
Thought i'd defend AC revelations here. Personally, I was disappointed with Brotherhood, because it had only a handfull of main quests/story missions. SO eventhough I enjoyed the assassins training, the taking of templar bases, and rebuilding the city, it still felt like a very short game.
With revelations, just like with AC2, there is this great atmosphere (not sure if I translated this correct, in dutch its: sfeer). In AC2 you had this great soundtrack, the nice yellow windows in the evining. And in Revelations, you have many many great soundtracks, and the city...o man. With those new effects of 'damp/fog' you really feel like you are IN a city. In Brotherhood there was only one place where I stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the atmosphere (I think it was the pantheon, with those pink leafs flying around). In Revelations, every corner has this great view, I stopped like a million times to take a look at the city from a different angle. And the skyline, oh my god, how epic is that? especially with the sunrise, or in the night. Its just georgious. I've been in Istanbul, but I have nicer memory screenshots from Revelations than from my real trip (except for the 'white or blue moskue in bright sunlight).
I was affraid Revelations would also have only a handfull of main story quests, but it has quite a few more, some of the missions are spectacular, in which for the first time in years I really had a 'wooow, this is awesome' moment. Revelations along with AC2, are games that I will remember for a long time.
So, eventhough I almost lost hope with Brotherhood, Revelations convinced me again of Ubisofts power to deliver 'an experience', and I will definitly buy ACIII. -
To be honest I am not a fan of the fact that it is taking place during the american revolution. I personally like the culture and feel that I got when playing it focused in the middle east and then in Italy, however I do not think that playing a native american assassin will be as interesting to me. Just my opinion.

I'm wondering how the tree-climbing mechanics will work. Will you be able to see the glowing marks against the backdrop of the snow?

This game isn't all that great. I anticipated much more considering how much fun Far Cry 3 was, and still is. Although, I've only just begun playing it, perhaps it will get better. I dislike how when you enter buildings it acts as though you're exiting the game (re-syncing animus), it should just open the door like Far Cry 3. Little things like this are a waste of time and annoy me. The fighting, reloading weapons, and other aspects similar to this seem to have not been worked on since the first AC game, which is disappointing. I expected near perfection - much more at the least - with this game.
I still recommend purchasing it, as the story is fun, interesting and somewhat exciting. But do not pay full price for it - wait for a sale if you can. I've also received a free copy of this because of some promotional offer. I may do a giveaway soon! Stay tuned! -

well i hate to tell you this news but the introduction or tutorial takes a whole 5 hours to get through so yeah, after that there is a nice twist and then things get better. I 100%'d the game on my PS3 a few days back
.
I'd argue that if you play it back in November yeah it's worth it but now not so much. -

It's 37 bucks on Steam right now, I think it's worth it if you have an Nvidia card. AC3 runs like crap on the 7970m, I wish I had just gotten the ps3 version instead.
-
is it that bad? have you tried the beta driver and look up on the internet for tweaks and fixes and whatnot? I will wait for a few years then get the whole franchise on Steam and replay on PC.

Oh, and there are frequent crashes, too lol. It's by far the worst performing game in my 100+ collection. -
this game is making the fan on my amd 6770m go crazy. it is extremely loud.

AC3 would have been a good game had it been a first attempt but its not and I was expecting a better story. I just felt bored during certain parts and what a bad ending to the game.
