Ive got a really irritating problem with AC at the moment. When i get to the area between towns, I get a really glitchy countryside where i cant see anything. It as if the country-side has become extremely bumpy (with peaks 100m high) and its virtually impossible to get to other towns. I managed it once, but that took around 15m... Once youre in the other town it all returns to normal, but as soon as you get back to the country-side it go all crazy again.

Anyone else know about this problem? If so found a way to fix it?

Just to be clear I don't have any crash problems entering jerusalem. Its in the area before that, that i gets very glitchy. This is a totally different problem.

hey sorry to hear you having such an annoying bug. But i think maybe you are looking in the wrong place maybe is not a bug in game. I installed Directors cut on my gaming rig it uses 2 8800GTX cards with Phenom CPU no problems found. Last night i installed it on a machine with 4400 x2 using a AGP 2600Pro ATI card what i found was Vista would not see the card for what it was and wouldnt install the correct driver for it instead it just stayed with the driver from MS this caused the game to display some very strange artifacts . The installer from ATI doesnt read the AGP 2600 ID correctly and just by passes the driver install . my work round was to install the driver manually after that it worked fine. if it is any consolation my laptop is similar to yours with 1600 ATI card it displays similar artifacts to the ones you describe. Hence why i have gaming rig ;)

Do you mean something like this?

I have had the problem with my previous laptop too. It had an ATI X1400. I have solved the problem by installing drivers which are older (I believe I had Catalyst 7.6 or something). this saved my problem and I could play further.

I must say that I had the problem with the leaked version too, so I do not know if it fixes the retail version too....
