Just got the game today and i'm having a few problems.
Ok first of all the game is playing in windowed mode is there a way to turn that off?
I the game is a bit laggy I tried lowering the resolution and the graphics but still a bit laggy.
Does the game run Direct X 9 or 10 if both how do I know which one its running on?
I give up on trying to update my drivers. Everytime I update them it just makes things worse! But its worth a shot any other drivers I could try. 177.92, 180.40 dont work they kill my FPS.
Help please! Thanks!
My Specs are in my sig!

On my DDR2 8600M GT I ran it at 1280x800 with everything on high except for shadows which I kept at 1/3, 20-30 FPS (Which for that agme is very playable). DX9 vs DX10 is a choice of which executable you run in the game folder. Run FRAPS and let me know what kind of FPS you're getting.
-
From what I've read, your processor doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game.
-
I cant run it in DX9 becuase I get this error message "EAX.DLL was not found re-installing this application may fix the problem."
-
Either way though, DX10 is supposed to run at nearly identical speeds to DX9, within 1-2 FPS.

ok new problem When I first start up the game it uses the full screen and I have an acer aspire with Cinema dash which lets you control the volume by using touch by whn I use that it goes into a window and the game is in a smaller window it no longer uses my full screen. How do I make it use my full screen again?

ok i'm getting 25-30 FPS but i''m sure updating my driver from stock drivers will give me a boost but which drivers should I try. remember I listed the ones I already tried.

Assassin's Creed is a fairly system intensive game, that sounds about right. What are your in game settings?
-
1024x768 resolution on high settings
-
Everything on high? IIRC you have 4 aliasing choices, 3 shadow choices, post fx, among other things. Dropping your shadows to 1/3 gives you better performance but is a big hit on realism. I would expect you to get 25-32 FPS on those settings.
-
sorry I have no post fx shadows is one 1 but the rest is on high
-
Turn Post FX on, you're losing about 60% of the graphic quality turning that off.
Perhaps try this: http://www.tweakguides.com/AC_1.html -

Very stupid question.
But have you checked if your on power saver mode instead of hi performance..? -
I'm not on power saver mode Well I'm pretty sure since mine is an acer it would be under empowering correct?
-
any other suggestions?
-
why do I keep getting this message when I try to stat D9X mode.
"EAX.DLL was not found re-installing this application may fix the problem."
How do I fix i? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall? But I don't want to lose my saved game data. But if I must I will. -
I was able to keep my saved games after a reinstall, but just to be sure, back up the profile folders it creates. I think it dumps stuff in My Documents also.

Creative driver bloat perhaps? EAX is a Creative sound file.
