Just got the game today and i'm having a few problems.

Ok first of all the game is playing in windowed mode is there a way to turn that off?

I the game is a bit laggy I tried lowering the resolution and the graphics but still a bit laggy.

Does the game run Direct X 9 or 10 if both how do I know which one its running on?

I give up on trying to update my drivers. Everytime I update them it just makes things worse! But its worth a shot any other drivers I could try. 177.92, 180.40 dont work they kill my FPS.

    Help please! Thanks!

My Specs are in my sig!

On my DDR2 8600M GT I ran it at 1280x800 with everything on high except for shadows which I kept at 1/3, 20-30 FPS (Which for that agme is very playable). DX9 vs DX10 is a choice of which executable you run in the game folder. Run FRAPS and let me know what kind of FPS you're getting.

From what I've read, your processor doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the game.

Either way though, DX10 is supposed to run at nearly identical speeds to DX9, within 1-2 FPS.

Try using Alt+Enter after it goes to windowed mode; it should revert it back to full screen. I used to have the same problem playing FC2 and Assassin's Creed. Hope this helps.

Assassin's Creed is a fairly system intensive game, that sounds about right. What are your in game settings?

Everything on high? IIRC you have 4 aliasing choices, 3 shadow choices, post fx, among other things. Dropping your shadows to 1/3 gives you better performance but is a big hit on realism. I would expect you to get 25-32 FPS on those settings.

why do I keep getting this message when I try to stat D9X mode.

"EAX.DLL was not found re-installing this application may fix the problem."

How do I fix i? Do I have to uninstall and reinstall? But I don't want to lose my saved game data. But if I must I will.

I was able to keep my saved games after a reinstall, but just to be sure, back up the profile folders it creates. I think it dumps stuff in My Documents also.

EAX.Dll sounds like a mucked up sound file, maybe reinstalling your Creative sound card drivers might help matters.

Creative driver bloat perhaps? EAX is a Creative sound file.
