Recently I bought a HP Pavillion dv6424ca. All of the specs are grand, but my research on its video card (the aforementioned GeForce Go 7200), even here, has left me confused.

First let me get this out of the way: I know it's not the best card in the world. My gaming experience is still largely console-based anyway and that's not going to change. The only high-end games I want to play on my laptop, as of posting this, are:

WoW (and BC) (I already know that virtually everything can handle WoW)
Halo, Halo 2 and (assuming it's ever released for computers) Halo 3
The PoP (Prince of Persia) trilogy (tried Sands of Time yesterday; was just a little choppy)
Bioshock (it requires 128-512MB of video RAM. Its full requirements are here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bioshock#Official_requirements)

The general consensus I've gathered from my research is that it probably has 128-256MB of video RAM, but some sources say it could have even less. What I want to know is: how much video RAM does the GeForce Go 7200 actually have?

Edit: For all of the above games, my laptop's other specs are enough to handle them well, 'cept maybe Halo 2.

let me save you time with the whole video ram thing.
    - Halo will probably run choppy. Don't even try to run Halo 2
    - POP1 and 2 will run as you said. The 3rd probably won't run well if at all.
    - Bioshock: See Halo 2 comment.

Very well. What I'm wondering, then, is whether or not I can make my 'top's video performance any better. I already went to the upgrade FAQ on this site, and got a similar answer from a call to the store I bought my laptop from anyway. However, they told me that by installing a card (the reception was a little off but it sounded like a PCI card) into the expansion slot in the side. Are cards of that nature, with decent graphic power upgrades, easily available or are they obscure?

Edit: I didn't make that link.

Edit: They were probably referring to the ExpressCard slot. I'm researching ExpressCards now, but it doesn't seem like any of them can offer video RAM.

Yeah don't bother with those things. If you want to play graphic intensive games in the future, those games start with Bioshock by the way, then build yourself a desktop computer.

We can pretty much simplify this in a sentence: your laptop is not meant to play games. Halo 1 is probably the most intensive game it will run. There is absolutely no chance at Bioshock. You can learn more about video cards here.

btw, it dosnt matter how much Video RAM youve got (weather its 128, 256, 512, or 1GB) your GPU is too weak to utilize that RAM.

Yeah, you should be able to run older games, but you probably won't be able to player newer games that are coming out now.
