i just got my laptop yesterday at a the computer convention in taiwan. retailers were cutting the price like there's no tomorrow. i finally decided to go with the F3J which is the newest model and the upgrade of A6. sort of happy because of the excellent spec but i'm not sure about the gaming capability.

    ASUS F3APT24DD-FAQXAA
    Intel Core Duo T2400 (1.83GHz,533MHz FSB ,2MB L2 Cache)
    2GB DDRII 667MHz (upgrade from 1GB)
    15.4" WXGA
    SATA 100GB 5400rpm
ATI X1600 256MB (dedicated) with 512MB Hypermemory (max out)

i used to play BF2 with my desktop 9800pro so i ran mid level at best. so can the x1600 play bf2 at high level? or any other games that requires high specs?

I can play BF2 on my Acer TM8204 at high at native res perfectly, so you should be fine, as my notebook has the same GPU and ram, and only a slightly faster processor (Duo 2ghz).

This Asus model sounds like an incedible value for the specs that it has, good job on the find.

The x1600 is a very strong card. It puts the 9800 to shame. You'll be able to play most games out with high settings.

F3 is an upgrade to A6 not A8.
