Im trying to play Kings Bounty. Its cool so far except randomly it crashes to the desktop. sometimes it happens after 5 minutes of play, other times I play for a half hour with no issues. Can anyone help what it might be. I have newest nvidia drivers installed on win 7 x64. error is below

    .BMRender\rmode.cpp(5426): DirectX call failed: -1, -1, E_FAIL ( An
undetermined error occured inside the Direct3D subsystem)

I did a little research and went to the Kings Bounty website. There were a few other people with the same problem. I guess if you rollback from the newest nvidia drivers to something older it fixes it.

From what I read its not a game issue but an nvidia issue with thier newest drivers.

Agreed it resolved most of my problems, offers allot more stabilty. I am very disappointed with Nvidia's latest drivers.

I have a N80 and 195.81 were the best when running resident evil 5 benchmarks. Dox 185.85 was very close second.

when I had 195 drivers it ran benchmarks just fine. It was when I actually tried to play real games I began to see stability issues. I agree with Sean473, Mide, and $immond$ that the newer drivers are crap. I need drivers to do more then pretty benchmarks.

I can play everything I have installed just fine. (bioshock, Left 4 dead, COD4, COD5, resident evil 4). What N80 do you have? Mine is the N80vb with a 9300m gs.
