    All:

    I just got my new Studio 1555 today. Ran 3dMark06 at standard 1280x1024 resolution. I have a P8700 (2.53Ghz, 3MB, 1066 bus) and got a total score of 3616. SM 2.0 was 1342. SM 3.0 was 1486. CPU was 1663.

    My old 8600M GT DDR2 was 3194 3dMark06.

    AV1611 out......

P.S.: The 1920x1080 LED looks awesome!!!

Yup, the 4570 GDDR3 is an excellent low end product, beating out 3650s, 8600GTs, and some 9600GTs. I believe ATi reworked the TMUs and ROPs in these 4xxx series cards. They perform beautifully at high texture filtering and resolutions despite having many less ROPs and TMUs than rival Nvidia cards. Kinda want a smaller laptop for easier on the go portability. Looking into a 14.1 in Asus with a 4570 GDDR3, or possibly the HP dv2z with the Turion Neo and Radeon 3410. Kinda rather have the Asus though, more power for the money.

Mobius, im in the same boat as you. Looking for something portable yet still powerful to help supplement the Dell XPS at home. Does the ATI 4570 in the Asus F6Ve have GDDR3?

Yeah thats what I thought, oh well. Still a reasonably spec'd laptop in a small form factor.

The new Sony SR, which is a 13.3' laptop, will come equipped with the Radeon 4570, and Sony has in the past always used the better memory.

I would put it on par with an mobile 8600gt. I can play TF2 all high settings @1080p with 30fps

I can even play crysis warhead @ 720p mix of low to medium settingsd at 20fps which surprised me

Well, the 4570 can use standard DDR2/DDR3 instead of GDDR3 for a much cheaper version of it. :p

I would have thought DDR3 would be better than GDDR3, since GDDR3 is based of off DDR2. Also, the HD 4570 is a 64-bit card, so it seems odd that it would beat out a 128-bit card, especially at higher resolution.

I wonder though if ATI would release a 5 series soon. Nvidia's churning out a lot of cards lately, especially the 200M series. At least lower end cards are getting some attention...

I still haven't seen gaming benchmarks showing the 4570 equaling the 3650 or 8600M GT.

Run the Devil May Cry 4 benchmark for us.

sorry I havent got devil may cry.

I have TF2/COH/DOW2/Crysis Warhead/SupComm. Any of those any good to you?

I can only compare against my old xps 1530 without overclock, it was similar in performance in DOW2
