    Ati Catalyst 10.3 Official Notebook Support Today ???

    I thought official notebook support was on the 24th , but i can only find 9.9 beta, I know i can get the 10.3a , but it`s messed up with no hdmi support, without over-righting with the desktop version.

    Has notebook support been delayed.

    I only have catalyst 8.6 stock installed and was looking forward to 10.3 today :(

    EDIT : I managed to find the 10.3a Win7 x64 i downloaded the other week and compared it to the one downloaded today and they are bit for bit identical.

    Hmmm , did not install the display driver , no errors or anything, just the catalyst control center and the hdmi audio stuff, and not forgetting the lord of the rings spam. :(

    Are you sure these are for notebooks , the .inf files does not support my HD 4330 and the device id is not there ?????

    "AMD Mobility Product Support
    Catalyst Mobility is a notebook reference graphics driver for with limited support for
    system vendor specific features. Support is available for Windows Vista and Windows 7
    to be used at your own risk.
    The Installation Verification Software will prevent driver download on certain notebook
    products. This is to protect against the installing of drivers that may disable features or
    functionality provided by the system manufacturer. If unacceptable behavior is
    experienced using Catalyst Mobility it is recommended to revert back to the driver
    provided by your system vendor for your specific platform. Please contact your system
    vendor for the most recent drivers for your notebook."

    That's in the release note , so i presume we will have to go through the stupid downloader again ... wherever it is

    Well i am using the downloader , the same link as last time ? , it gives me a file named "10-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc" , is that different ??

    Well the downloader did not work for me because i have switchable graphics, so i changed it to dedicated in the bios and the downloader works fine then, then just change the bios back to switchable to install over the stock acer driver.

    Is the below still the 10.3a preview

    I just installed catalyst 10.3 and so far no problems with my mobility 3450. As soon as i passed the validation check the download and install went smoothly :D.

    EDIT : I think we are a bit premature , we should wait a few days for ati to make the release official.

    The files are identical to the ones released the other week, I managed to find the file i downloaded the other week and i compared it to the one i downloaded today and it is bit for bit identical, at least for the Win7 x64 one.

    Me too. In GPU-Z and CCC it says 9.12 instead 10.3 ... ???
    I have a 5920G with a HD4650 (aftermarket).
    And even with this catalyst with whql, I'm not able to watch blu-rays. It's like I installed a non certified driver.

    Anybody who knows what to do?

    That's because it the same driver as the 10.3a preview, at least for us Mobility users. And, being a preview or beta driver, the driver version displayed will be the one you had before installing the beta driver.

    This driver is crap anyway. I'll keep the 10.3 press drivers (leaked ones) until the 10.4 release

    use dxdiag to see if you are WHQL certified as blu-ray might need this, 10.3 it is not WHQL certified for me!

    I'm having a lot of problems with this drivers. I get a black screen after 5 min of playing any game. Try using the 10.3 leaked drivers.

    I just run dxdiag and it also says that the driver is whql certified, but blu-rays can't be played.

    I made a screenshot to show you dxdiag and driver details.

    it shows you can play bluray (see all the green circles). The issue is not driver , it's software probably .. try updating it

    I just installed Cyberlink Arcade Deluxe with Acer PlayMovie.
    And Blu-rays work now.
    But no with PowerDVD ... very strange. ^^

    Thanks for the link but I am going to hold off on trying that for now. These Envy 15's have 2 HDMI audio drivers installed, the ATI CCC HDMI and a custom (HP) IDT HDMI driver package which is part of the high end digital audio output preamp on this model. So I don't want to get a conflict by installing the wrong realtek version....


    Has anyone tried installing the Hydravision and Avivo features form the desktop package to this 'final' 10.3 mobility version?? On the 10.3a they installed this way but there was no controls for these features in CCC to adjust things.

    Newest ATI Driver. 3dmark06 shows horrible results... Win7 driver set. [email protected] results 11408, [email protected] results 11740. Compared to others that score in the 12-13k range with 3870x2 this is not good. Frames seem about the same in games.

    Just tried the 10.3 on my laptop. Pretty much no change at all but 5850 on my pc showed big improvement in gaming.
