I wonder if when you put, for instance, 2x for AA in catalyst and then 2x AA inside the game. Doe it add it up? or when you are using Catalyst, it doesn't matter what the game says?
I also wonder about the performance, is it more efficient to control image candies, like AA, from the game itself or from Ati Catalyst?
Thanks.

it just over rides the game settings. so say u want 2x AA for all of ur games, then u could set it in CCC. its just a convenience thing.

The Catalyst will do as it's told, it'll add AA to the scene rendering. In fact it sometimes adds it even when it shouldn't do an example is when the Catalyst uses AA on the text resulting in unreadable/blurred text.
It's better to let the game do it, unless it's an old one an incapable of doing to.The one done by the game is optimized too. -
mmmh, I don't think it affects things like text, it's only 3D stuff.

So, since both opinions here contradict, I'll ask again (more clear this time)
Does Catalyst OVER RIDES or ADD UP to the eye candies on the game? -
overrides.......because i have a ATI Radeon 9550 on one of my desktop, and when i turn AA/ or AF on in CCC, then it dosnt matter if i turn it on in the game, there will still be AA/AF.....but i also think that it depends somewhat on the game, as well as the driver

But if you have 2x in catalyst and 2x in the game, will you have 4x total?

Ati Catalyst overides game image control?
