    Hey, are there specific thermal pads for GPUS or is a 1 fits all? Which one should I buy for these 2 GPUS? And how/where to place them? thanks

    thanks for replying. I saw a guy with the 5870m saying he applied the Fujipoly / ModRight Extreme System Builder Thermal Pad Blister Pack - 1/4 Sheet - 150 x 100 x 0.5 - Thermal Conductivity 11.0 W/mK

    So i bought that LOL... They go on the rams of the card and on top of the chip right?

    Not only RAMs! Make sure you watch videos, otherwise it might be Bricktoberfest! Also Fujipoly is good yes, I am using Fujipoly atm. I couldn't find 100x100, this is way too small (the only one on ebay atm that is 1mm):

    Buy it from frozenpc. they have all sizes available. Also I can NOT find a video of thermal being applied to 5870m . :/

    The closest one I could find is 7970m (which is I am pretty sure miles apart). But you gotta cover the little transistors and other stuff there as well. Also you gotta make sure the back of the card is covered as well and there is no contact from mobo.

    you mean the die?? you gotta put paste there, IC Diamond is a good one (though it has diamond dust can can scratch the surface, I never had this trouble though).
