Question. I have read of the new Optimus switchable graphics software for Nvidia.

I was wondering whether there are any switchable graphics software for ATi graphics?

I don't know much about how it works, but AMD has two versions. If you have an Intel IGP it's called Switchable Graphics, and PowerXpress if you have an ATi IGP as well as an AMD chipset. Both require Vista at least and it'll automatically switch to IGP if your notebook is running on battery.

When AMD releases their fusion cpus with integrated gpu, i think we will see a similar solution to Nvidias Optimus.
