    Hi,
I'm just thinking if the HP L2105NR (AMD Turion 64 Technology [ML-32] 1.8GHz [512KB L2 Cache], 14"WXGA BrightView Screen [1280x768] , 512MB DDR SDRAM, Memory , 80GB 5400RPM Hard Drive DVDRW, Double Layer Drive , 802.11b/g Wireless LAN ) could run Final Fantasy XI, it has the ATI X200M shared with the RAM.

I only play that game and I dont have any other computer with the same graphic card for running the official benchmark and could see if it can be played or no :(

I will apreciate if you can answer this, someone who has the same notebook or the same graphic card!

    Thanks! :D

Hello. To be frank, the ATI express 200m is a terrible graphics card in terms of gaming. It will barely fun the game and if it does at all, very low low settings. May I suggest the dell inspiron 6000. With the coupons offered from notebookreview.com you could probably one for about the same price as the hp. Plus u will get the ati x600 which would be able to run the game with no problems. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mr. Happy for the response!
The problem is that Im not in the US and I can't use the coupons  but I dont want to buy a notebook that is around 7lb (its just too heavy for me :p) and I want a notebook that can run FFXI and that its arond 6 lbs. I know its too mucho to ask but I was crossing my fingers to see if somebody with this card could run the game.

    Thanks anyway! :)

Final Fantasy XI should run on it. It won't run well, but it'll run. You WILL want to at least upgrade the RAM in the machine, though, so that the X200M's shared memory doesn't completely cripple it.

Your main problem is the 512MB RAM. The Radeon XPRESS 200M is a pretty impressive integrated graphics card, especially when you have enough RAM to share around. I have a desktop with that graphics card using 256MB memory, and it runs 1-2 year old games (Guild Wars in my case) laglessly on medium settings. Provided FFXI was released a few years ago, if you have enough RAM (1 gig minimum in my opinion, as your 200M will be leeching 128-256MB of it), you should be able to play it just fine.

it should run on it. In Japan, Intel and Square launched a big promotion over FFXI and the new Intel integrated graphics, the GMA 900.. claiming that the GMA900 can run the game with out difficulty. the ATI x200m is better than the GMA900 so yes, you can certainly run it.. but not to the same quality as a dedicated GPU though. Alot of these mmorpg games aren't as GPU reliant like Doom 3 or BF 2.

Im curious if the game is playable on that chipset... I am about to get my Compaq v2000z so I will report back when I do, but has anyone actually tried to play, or play on a similar setup? And its not the end of the world if it does not play. I have a perfectly nice home setup to play on ^-^

My girlfriend's running a copy of FFXI on her Latitude D610; that's with the integrated GMA 900.

To be honest, it runs ALOT better than I expected it would. I've turned down some of the extra effects (something she wanted anyway, she hates running through La Theine when it's raining), but it seems to run more than adequately for her. At the very least, she doesn't crash running past the Lower Jeuno Auction House, so that's something. ;)

It'll run nicely on the GMA 900; I'd imagine the x200m shouldn't have too much trouble. For what it's worth, even on the GMA it looks much sharper than the PS2 version.
