    Mob modded ones wouldn't install for me. They'd act like they were installing, but I'd never get the "unsigned driver" popup and I'd end with a fail.

    Okay delete every spec of ati off your system. Turn off UAC, download and install new drivers. Just let it extra, DO NOT LET IT FULLY INSTALL. Reboot your computer, PUT IT IN SAFE MODE, run mobilty modder, click browse local disk c or what drive letter you use, click ati, look for the driver folder and hit ok. Then mod it and it should work. When its done modding just go back to your c drive and into the ati folder and click the setup. It should work. If it dont repeat steps but in the hidden administrative account in vista.

    afaik mobility modder doesn't work with 9.2.

    I ended up just going with the stock ATI 9.2 mobility drivers -- there are plenty of torrents around. Works like a charm, and even fixes the flickering mouse problem I had when running in a window with a hardware cursor in WoW!
