Hi everyone, i have a basic hd4570 (512mb ddr3) and i'd like to lower a bit the temperature...
With Ati Tray Tools i have all the options i need, underclock (clock and memory) and expecially the underVOLT, that should be a better way to lower the temps...

The problem is that every modification i set...are not applied :S
When i click on "apply" the values turns back to the default.
Is there something i miss or ati tray tools is not compatible with my card?
If you have any suggestion i'd really appreciate.

ATI tray tools doesn't work with the HD 4570 .... use rivatuner for overclocking/underclocking & use AMD GPU tool for undervolting

I would undervolt from the vBIOS.

Hey thank you very much, i wasn't aware of this AMD GPU tool, seems a good program and it really changes the clock and memory!!
But regarding undervolt it allows to use "only" the standard voltage (min 0.9 max 1.2) and this one can be changed also with powerplay under CCC.
Do you know if it's possible to create custom VDDC for AMD GPU tool?

I read about that but it will void the warranty, and i found that the risk is too high, also because i don't even know if the undervolt can give me the results i want... :(
However...can you link me something about this kind of stuff?
If you know some good sites or updated forum. Thanks :)

Well here's a link to how it's done on the 5870.

It will technically void your warranty. If you dump the BIOS from your card (GPU-z), you can flash black to the original if you need to send it in. As far as testing, it just takes time. Lower the 3D voltage a little, then see how high you can get the core stable. Repeat until you have the clocks/voltage you want. I suggest using OCCT for stability testing. (Just sure to watch your temps.)

Thank you for pointing me to this thread, seems a great work...
unfortunately there's no mention to what i'd like to do, that is to try the undervolting of the 2D mode (that already is at 0.9V by default).
Maybe i will give up, if none have done it maybe it's because it cannot be done, or maybe it's a useless risk...

for me .... my HD4570 shares its bios with the main system bios so I can't dump its bios or alter it in anyway ..... dunno about you though .... as for the custom voltages you can't do custom voltage alterations unless you do it through Bios mod other than that you will have to rely on the built in voltages

Is there a way to get ATI Tray Tools to work on 5xxx series cards? I can't get it to work with desktop or laptop variants of those cards.
