I've got a Dell 9300 coming, 1Gb Ram, Pentium M 750 but only the X300 128Mb card - I couldn't change the spec as it is a deal through work. Anyone else got this setup?
I'm getting it mainly for internet use, work and maybe watching the odd DVD but I would like to play some games. I'm not bothered about playing all the latest games (There are plenty of old ones I have never played!) or at the highest settings and I'm not really into FPS games (Apart from the more plot or tactical ones). I mainly want RPG's, RTS and turn based strategy games. I quite fancy Warhammer Dawn of war, c+c generals (Though I'm probable happy with red alert 2!) and/or LOTR-Battle for middle earth for starters.
    Will I be ok?

Yeah, you'll be in pretty good shape. Especially for RTS games. I use an integrated graphics card to play Rise of Nations.

Forgot about Rise of nations - probably play that too, sounds like I should have no problem!

The games you listed should all run well on an X300. If you were going to run Quake 4, Doom 3, or FEAR, then I would say otherwise.
