I recently upgraded to vista, and since then, my audio has been staticy at times, and it just seems like the audio quality if worse. What could i be doing to fix this problem, or is it unfixable?

Are you Readyboosting? I know that (at least for my NB) the card reader creates static in my audio when I have an SD card in Readyboost mode.

Readyboost is a Vista feature whereby you use a USB key or Flash RAM to boost system performance.

If you're not familiar with it then it's likely not causing your audio issues :(

Right click your audio icon in your taskbar and go to Playback Devices. Right click your device then hit properties. Go to Enhancements and check the checkbox that says "Disable all Enhancements." Tell me if this does it for you.
