Microsoft is bringing its auto-HDR feature from the Xbox Series X|S to PC games. Basically, the feature applies HDR10 to non-HDR games. The feature is quite impressive and Microsoft has done a great job with it; it doesn't look as good as native HDR10 games, but it has received glowing reviews on Xbox. The feature will work on over 1000 DX11 and DX12 games. You can start using a beta version now if you sign up for the Microsoft Insiders program. You'll need an HDR-capable display to enjoy it.

if its 1000 plus games its a safe assumption using deductive reasoning it will be available to games outside of gamepass

I don't see where they say that. Also microsoft has a long and storied history of blowing stuff out of proportion.

    Best os yet

    Simple and easy to use.

    It just works. Lmao

HDR is good; not trying to be Captain Obvious but if it's free and it works at all it isn't a bad thing.

Just to be clear, the "1000" number comes from the Verge article I linked to in my post above. It says "Microsoft is planning to automatically add HDR support to more than 1,000 PC games."
