Will Maya work with the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD?
-
Very likely, yes. It works with the X3100, albeit it is slow. I don't know much about Intel's new gpu chipset.

I don't mind if it's slow, machines in my company are fast enough. I just use my laptop to test new ideas from time to time but I don't work on heavy scenes at home.

I used to run Maya on a Thinkpad T40 with an ATI Radeon Mobility series card. It was super slow starting up, and there were some things, like projecting images onto planes and hardware rendering, that screwed up, but for the most part it worked fine.
Anyway, you shouldn't have a problem. -
Maya and ATI sucks. ATI has a bad history in OpenGL drivers. nVidia is the only way to go if you care about OpenGL.
