Well, it's obvious after all their hard work, Kaos/DE have done an outstanding job handing this game over to the hack kids. They should just change the name to hacksterdam.
Anyway.. All servers that were populated had hacks tonight...
Un-installing and now done.
1. If you were on the fence on this one, save your dough. Singleplayer is worth about 5 bucks since it's only 3 hours long.
2. Unless your one of "those" guys that likes the ladies that get really rough, don't. If I had the power to rename this game I would call it Donkey Punch.
Seriously.. just dont do it..
If this post helps save you money, please reply underneath so I can at least have the satisfaction of saving some honest gamers time and money.
And once it's purchased... NO REFUND... buyer beware.
Best Wishes, StevenX

This game was a total trash.
I just fell for it looking at the game cover.
@steven,
You should have posted weeks back.
Anyway it might help someone who is still thinking to get this game. -
But I must say the SP was actually pretty good, they created a new concept different from other shooters. Guess they failed to execute it correctly then.
-
I pretty much stopped playing last week though not because of the hackers. It doesn't perform well enough and just got boring real quick. As far as the hackers, I just don't see how some can prefer VAC over Punkbuster which takes shorter to deal with them.

@Protip - The game is horrible. If you want to purchase it go ahead.
Im not wasting time on writing a full review. The cliffs notes version "about as fun as watching Fried Green Tomatoes".
There ya go.

I'm having fun with it. I haven't played multiplayer yet (I always go through a game's campaign entirely first before touching MP), but the campaign is a blast.

@All - Mastershroom always has the opposite opinion as I do. Don't blame the shroom.. I have that impact on people...
Homefront = Avoid until 5 bucks.

Thankfully, I only blew $12.50 for this on OnLive (had a 75% off code). Still, I don't know if I got my moneys worth because the single player campaign looks like it could have been made back in 2003.
I agree, pass on this game. -
I don't know how this can get more specific. -
I was thinking of buying, you have made my mind up thank you.

Heard they where planning on adding many unique things to the SP part but after trying it on Xbox 360 it felt more like "CoD for the Bro's" clone.
Just like the crap called Crysis 2 MP.

I couldn't decide on a third game when Gamestop had a buy 2 used, get 1 free sale last weekend so I ended up getting Homefront, for the 360. I haven't played online yet but the campaign is kind of fun. I got it for free, though, so my standards aren't very high.

Doesent hurt that the game was free either. -

VAC wont ban any of the hacktastic kids in this game. The aimbot they use is VAC SAFE meaning it can't be detected. And because VAC moves at the speed of Fred Flinstone's boulder mobile the hackers have nothing to worry about in their Porsche Twin Turbo.
Last night I just gave up on trying to play MP. Each server was filled with hack kings so I just hopped around, stood out in the open and don't bother with cover because it doesn't work anyway. I just praised them for their purchasing prowess because I think the AA hacks are 20 bucks or something like that. The kids will use the hotkey AA so they go 10 and 0 real fast, get the vehicles and then go clean the rest of the match. When they end up 28-3 they go.. see I wasn't hacking... I died 3 times.
Don't waste your money.
Person's Saved From Buying: HACKFRONT -- 1 so far. -
with that $45 i could have got a hair replacement for my unibrow eyelashes
-
wow you bought apox....that game was totally 2002... anyways imo if homefront was a book it problity would do a much better job at telling its story..plus less hackers

Something I never understood... why bother cheating?
What possible accomplishment is there in cheating to win, in a game where its just about having a good time anyway.
When you cheat, you gave up on any skill required to do anything... why not just paint YOU WIN in red letters on your monitor or tv?
And as for going 13 and 3 while cheating...
YOU LOST WHILE CHEATING?
That's like an adult going to a grade school and kicking 5th graders butts until you find one or two that kick yours... and then calling it a victory.
After all, you were tougher than most of the 5th graders...

I bought the game the day it came out for the PC. It was fun while it lasted but the single player was really short. The overall game was fun if you didn't look at the small details, like the horific hit detection for fired bullets, or the terrible vehicle sequences. If you're looking for a game to rent because you're tired of stabing yourself in the eye it would be a good choice. But if looking to purchase I would steer clear.

I got the game through onlive, which i only played 20 mins(total trash). But, i only bought it because of the free onlive system
that i sold already, no loss, no complaint.

@OP - If only you had created this thread back in March, before the game was released. I bought it when Steam had the pre-order special where you could get the game along with Metro 2033. I guess I pretty much paid for the latter instead, because I would pay about a buck for Crapfront.
You are so right on about the 3hour SP. I was so excited to finally get into San Fran after the bridge battle, and then the credits rolled. I was likeThe graphics would have been great if it was released back in 2000. I would say that this game should have been DOA based on graphics alone, but that would have been an insult to Minecraft. If only they had spent more time on the actual game, instead of building the hype and the trailer.
As for MP, I spent about 15min on it, and all I have to say is "zzzzzzzzzz".
About the only good thing about the game was the emotional undertones it elicit from portrayal of the treatment of American civilians by the invaders. -
Good to hear this feedback, I'm glad I saved my money. Thanks all.
