I think my video card is overheating. It get up to between 85-90C. And sometimes I'll be playing fine, then the map will start to look cloudy, like there was a smoke grenade that went off, and there was still just a little smoke lingering.

    Any idears?

Well your laptop should have no problem playing BF2. LOL I would suggest getting a laptop cooler. Those temps are pretty high. I got a cheap $10 cooler off of newegg and it has helped. As a temporary solution, try to prop the back of the laptop up. That should let some cool air flow under the laptop.

IMO, no matter how big laptops get these days, they are still not perfectly suited for hardcore gaming. The cooler is a necessity if you game extensively. Be careful in choosing the cooler - you may want to have a fan just under the GPU compartment. Further, decide whether you want a cooler that blows cool air to the computer or one that sucks hot air from it.

I got a sucker. :p It works pretty good. It drops my temps around 5C. I have never had my laptop shut down from overheating when I use it.

thanks for all the feedback. So in all actuallity, which should I get? I can feel the hot air being blown out from my laptop whenever im getting into a good battle, so should I be pumping cool air up to it or should I be helpin it suck out the hot air?

Do you have this install and running ?

    http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/

this with the fans turn on HIGH will keep the card temp down by a LOT. works fine for me. (you may have to tweak the options settings after you install)

Id also make sure that ur vent is clear from lint or dust after every usage. Ive noticed with my 5720 that it is VERY easy for the vent to, over time, become clogged, which will increase the overall temperature of the gpu and make the fans work harder to cool it. Just wipe it off after you use the laptop
