You should have very few (if any issues)

What res are you running and how much memory do you have?

Should not be an issue--you may not be able to run at max resolution, not sure.

The 7900 is one of the most powerful mobile GPUs, it should make short work of BF. See the GPU guide for more info.

BF2 doesn't support widescreen, one thing, so you'll have to scale or use an ugly hack. I prefer scaling. I don't see the 7900 having any trouble, especially not at something like 1280x800 with everything on full, you might take some hits going at higher resolutions, but I'm not sure.

i just bought bf2 and played multiplayer, it's lag alot when my textures setting is on high or even medium (aa off, low filtering and lowest resolution). So i put it all on low, still lag a little at the beggining when i enter a server. Is this normal? like, i can play counter-strike source at high textures setting or even F.E.A.R. with no lag issue. btw, my gpu is a ATI X1400

I can run it perfectly with High Res, High Graphics, so you would have no problem.

bf2/2142 are memory hogs this might be causing the problem but also try updating your graphics card drivers

i c, but i just realise something. When i play singleplayer it doesn't lag much when my textures are high (maybe a little when it loads). On multiplayer it lag alot sometimes but im not sure. I've already updated the driver and all.

    BF2 runs in 1920x1200 perfectly for me w/ 7800GTX.

check www.tweakguides.com to get BF2 to have widescreen resolution.

BF2142 is even less demanding than BF2, mind you BF2 is also much more fun.
