Was just wondering if anyone could help me out here.
Just bought a new Dell Inspiron 9400 with following:
    1.8 Ghz Centrino Duo
    Windows Xp Media Centre 2005
    1 Gig Ram
256MB nVidia Geforce Go 7800 Graphics card
plenty of disk space and other things

I got BF2 and it wont work at all. So far I am geting the idea that BF2 due to system requirements wont work with a centrino duo processor. The game loads the splash screen, sits there and then just disappears. Am I wrong with this assumption or is there something else wrong that I could maybe change to get it working? Also had simliar problems trying to play Americas Army - but Call od Duty 2 and Brothers in Arms work fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Skubasteve.

I would believe it is a driver issue, have you installed all the latest drivers?

Yeah, it's gonna be another issue. Many people have had BF2 up and running with no problem with the core duo processor, from what I have seen in other threads. I too would start with uninstalling/reinstalling the latest drivers. Then if it still doesn't work, we can go from there

Uninstall and reinstall. Not sure of your order...but I know a few people who had issues with BF2 after installing CODII. I never looked into it to see if that's a common problem...as I only installed CODII to play a LAN game once with a few friends(and BF2 promptly stopped working until i reinstalled), but that might be it.

BF2 was kind of picky to install for me anyways. Once I got it in, it's been fine though.
