BF2 question

on multy player on BFHQ my player stat are on zero, how can i start putting numbers in here? where do i go what do i do?

 

Play on ranked servers, and your score will go up along with your rank. Its also how you get medals/badges/ribions, along with weapon unlocks.

 

Sheff is right. Best thing to do is just have Ranked Servers Only in your filter...there is really no reason to play on a non-ranked server unless you are messing around.

 

and the points takes sometime to be updated.

 

apparently the ranking system is going to be dropped upon 2142 release and all weapons available on all servers. If so, not much point starting now...

 

I thought that was just a rumour that someone started and is really just a joke?

 

but alot of people will still play BF2 .. is more real type than 2142, BF2 is more on todays war

 

BF2 will be played for a long time to come. 2142 looks corny. I am getting sick of the whole "future war" games. Star Wars has brought us enough... just drop it. I want to drive a tank... not a "Mech".

 

Of course alot of people will still play it...but thats completely beside the point. The point was that there will be no more ranking system.

 

Dont even begin to compare the Star Wars univers to the Battlefield universe, they are completly different. Star Wars is complete fiction, while BF is baised on the real past, present, and a possible/realistic future. The technology shown in 2142 is very achieveable in 136 years from now. The game is actually set in a believeable and possible future, unlike Star Wars. Thats why I think it looks great. Its that, plus all the great things from BF2. I like BF2 now, but I will love 2142, and I will drop BF2 in a heartbeat once it comes out.

 

BF2142 looks lame. It IS BF2 with a skin mod and a few extra minor things. I would rather play with modern weapons/technology than some stupid cyborgs and laser guns. BF2 POE mod is also cool.

 

I never said it was "exactly" like Star Wars... I meant in a relative sense, Star Wars has taken care of the "future" warzone for us. I am just sick of EA... they keep charging $50 for skins on a new games. (BF1942-BFVietnam-BF2-BF2142) And out of all of those... I don't see much of a change! I love ALL of the Battlefield games, because they stick to the more "current/past realism", and stayed away from the ever so popular "futuristic" seen. Now, looks like they fell...

And I dont consider Star Wars to cover the "futuristic scene" , because its all fiction and completly unrealistic. Yeah 2142 is also fiction, but its realistic fiction, unlike Star Wars which is complete fantasy.

 

when i play as a sniper and i shoot someone, they wont die...is there any way that i can shoot and kill with one shot

 

If you hit their body it will take them down to 2 bars of health. But a head shot is an instant kill. Being a good sniper takes a good mouse, and a good resolution to be able to see the small head from a distance. Then you need to compensate for bullet drop, which varies from gun to gun. So sniper is a hard kit to master. But if you pratice alot you will eventually be able to do it naturally, and get a head shot everytime, even on moving targets...I still havent mastered that one yet.

I plan to get BF2 soon (had to get a PC that could run it first )

Yeah, there are thousands of players on at peak times.

Latest BF2 Patch = 1.4 Released Today.

 

I figured as much, just didn't want to be dissapointed when I finally get the game... and get time to play it...
